    Job Description:

    Success Academy is a high-achieving, leading-edge network of 53 K-12 public charter schools serving over 20,000 scholars throughout New York City.     At SA, non-academic subjects aren’t ‘extra’ but essential. Athletics serve as critical, creative outlets for scholars to explore and develop their passions and talents in basketball, soccer, track & field and volleyball. We expect sports coaches to be masters of their craft and share their passion, talent and experience in the classroom.

    We are looking for a results-driven Elementary School, Middle School and High School Athletic Teacher to join our community.

    In this role you will:

    • Be a part of a highly motivated team committed to education reform, parent choice, and the building of exemplary schools;
    • Collaborate with coaches across the network to build a world-class athletics program;
    • Inspire a love for sport and encourage critical thinking through rigorous instruction;
    • Coordinate and lead family meetings;
    • Receive routine, ongoing feedback and support from an outstanding leadership team and faculty.

    We invite you to apply if you:

    • Have experience coaching youth and/or collegiate teams;
    • Are able to manage both administrative and coaching aspects of the position in a timely and organized manner;
    • Are able to develop/teach concepts such as teamwork, healthy lifestyles, sportsmanship;
    • Possess a demonstrated track record of propelling students’ understanding and love of sport;
    • Have an advanced understanding and are educated in of one or more of the following sports:
      • Soccer
      • Basketball
      • Track & Field
    • Have experience coaching futsal (a plus);
    • Experience working with K-4 grades in a school setting (a plus);
    • Have a drive to ensure that joyful, rigorous instruction is delivered to every scholar, every day;
    • Ability to become part of the school community and build relationships with key stakeholders and all constituents

    Compensation:

    Starting From: $60,000.00
